Despite popular belief that cats age seven years for every actual year, young cats age at a faster rate than older cats. The cat's human age equivalent is how old the cat would be if it was a human.

Cat Age Equivalent Formula
The cat's human age equivalent can also be calculated using the following formula:
(current age of cat - 2) x 4 + 24 = human age equivalent
This formula will only work for cats two human years old or older.
