Events are coordinated by Alec Sharman, who is the editor of the club News Sheet. The News Sheet itself appears in hard copy form on the club notice board. This web page is based on the News Sheet, but without the colourful formatting, which I have difficulty getting right in my HTML editor. However, this web version contains anything else interesting that I hear about, or which people have posted on the notice board at the club. To have your event advertised in the News Sheet, see Alec at the club, or e-mail details to fwgs@lycos.co.uk FAO Alec. Alternatively, pin your notice up on the board.
On the first Friday of each month (or more often if required) there will be a themed evening or BIG game. If anyone wants to organise a themed evening please speak to Alec Sharman who will post on the News Sheet.
Every three months the club will hold an ALL DAY game on a Sunday (dates to be confirmed). Please speak to Alec Sharman if you want to book one of these for a BIG GAME so the details can be posted on the News Sheet.
Age of Empires
A number of members of the club play Age of Empires II on the internet. For information on how to join in, e-mail fwgs@lycos.co.uk
Principles of War
Playing now: Boer War.
Lessons learned: Advancing in column over open ground against Boer entrenchments is a bad idea.
Coming soon (possibly) Zulu Wars.
