FERRY OPERATIONS

1. 	The Superfast ferry operation from Rosyth to Zeebrugge is due to commence on 17th May 2002. 
		In order to facilitate the passage of the ferries to/from their berth at Rosyth, certain Byelaws, General
		Directions and Dockyard Port Rules are to be amended in respect of the ferries only.
2. 	The amendments are listed below:
		a) 	Byelaw 28- Vessels entering or crossing a fairway. When departing from Rosyth, the ferry will normally have
				right of way to enter the main channel unless otherwise directed by FNS.
		b) 	General Direction No. 8(a) - Passage under the Forth Railway Bridge.    On both inbound and outbound
				passages under the Forth Railway Bridge, the ferry will have priority unless otherwise directed by FNS.
		c) 	Dockyard Port of Rosyth Order; Second Schedule: Rule 4- Passage through the Bridges at
				QueensferryAs in (b) above.
3.	The daily schedule for the ferry is expected        to be as follows

			ARRIVES BERTH ROSYTH - 1030

			DEPARTS BERTH ROSYTH -1700
Should the ferry diverge from this schedule all Byelaws, General Directions and Dockyard Port Rules
apply without amendment.  In all cases the ferry must strictly adhere to General Directions Nos. 4(b), 4(c) [1]
and [2] and 4(d).
