Installation and Configuration Support
Please Uninstall any Geez programs from your computer and completely remove associated files before installing Geez Unicode. Some Geez Programs may conflict with Geez Unicode. You may use any copy protection floppy disk that may have been provided with your software to save installed Geez program for later use. Installation may fail if the download is incomplete To resolve this problem, make sure that you have 0.99 MB (1,041,582 bytes) of the Geez _Setup application before you start installing. you can check the size of the Geez_Setup application by right clicking on it and selecting properties. In the Geez_Setup properties you can see the size of the Geez_Setup application (see Figure 1). If the size of the application is less than what is shown you will need to delete the incomplete application and download a new. For WordPad users in Windows 95 and 98 In Windows 98 and 95, you can recover Geez Unicode documents saved as Rich text format [rtf] in Microsoft WordPad. But, Geez Unicode documents saved in any other format may not be recoverable.

After completing installation successfully you will need to start Keyman and Geez unicode to write using Geez Unicode (see figure 2). Please refer the "getting Started" and "Geez Keyboard Layout Guide" files in the Geez Unicode folder for more information.

Please note the following limitations
------------------------------------------- When using Word
with Win98, if Word is not started and the user opens a document directly by
association (by clicking on the document entry or icon in an Explorer window),
Wordlink is not able to intercept and translate the incoming characters. This is
a limitation with the way Word processes events, and probably cannot be avoided.
The simplest
solution is to always start Word normally (thus loading and initializing the
Wordlink Add-In) before opening any documents by association. If Unicode is to
be used extensively, it is worth upgrading to Windows 2000 or XP, since many
more applications can support Unicode correctly on these platforms. The Unicode input will only work in document windows. It will not work in any dialog boxes, such as find or replace. If you need to do this, type the text you wish to find into a new document, copy it to the clipboard, and paste this into the dialog box. To Read the following Readme file
