1811 Born to parents Richard Durber. and his wife (unknown). Various censuses of the following years have the place as 1851 Longport, 1861 Burslem, 1871 Stoke, 1881 Burslem Longport. All hese are in modern day city of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England.
1840 On 30th March 1840, Ellen Durber (who signed with a cross) aged 29 married Joseph Poole aged 39 and a widower, (both are described on the certificate as 'of age' ) at St. Georges Church, Newcastle under Lyme. The witnesses were Samuel Wood who signed with a cross and Martha Greatbatch who signed with a cross. Joseph's father s James Poole is described as a Potter and Ellen's father Richard Durber is described as a Sackmaker.

1852 On 27th February 1852 the birth of their daughter Georgiana Erminia Poole the sixth daughter to be born, each with a 2 year gap between and each daughters name ending with 'a'. Georgiana was born at Church Street, Fenton, Staffordshire, England.

1870 Ellen and Joseph's daughter Amanda Poole is 20 and around this time, or just before, she marries James T Millington.
1871 June 1871 Ellen and Joseph's daughter Amanda Millington nee Poole has a son James T Millington, the father being James T millington and they are all living with Ellen and Joseph at 30 Railway Terrace East. They are still there on 9th July 1871 for the census - see below. Later, James Millington and his wife Amanda Millington nee Poole will move out and eventually live in Dunrobin Street and will take the widowed Ellen with them - see 1881 census below.

1874 Joseph and Ellen's daughter Georgiana Erminia Poole is 22 and has a baby daughter Ada on 17th August 1874 the father being Charles Thompson Georgiana is still living with her parents at 30 Railway Terrace East, Eastvale, Caverswall, Staffordshire, England.
