After a glacial episode
the area changes to periglacial conditions.
There is a lot of solifluction
at this stage. Lobes of solifluction debris slipped down valley sides and
can be seen in the bottom parts of Brecon Beacons valleys and modern post
glacial rivers are cutting a 'V' notch down through this debris. |

postglacial deposition is modifying the glacaited lake by the gradual
build up of the alluvial fan (delta) debris. |
