The
A40 east from Abergavenny is a dual carriageway and this
links to the A449 dual carriageway at Raglan which links south to the M4.
Or you can continue east to the M50 and thence to the M5 Midlands link.
The roads are quiet and so average speeds can be high suiting distribution,
commuters and sales representatatives. Proximityand
not accessibilityis the issue. The
view shows the approach to Abergavenny from the east and the Sugar Loaf
mountain as the gateway to the Black Mountains can be seen towering over
Abergavenny. |
| Raglan is the only
settlement of any size and has a key geographically
advantageous location at a major road junction. It is likely
to grow rapidly over the next few years as
the A449 gives ready commuting access to Newport and the M4 corridor. Click

catchment of north east Monmouthshire but this area is rural as far as
Gloucester (50 miles) |
