Rose of Avalon

Rose of Avalon,
Mystic sweet Fragrance,
Thy bounty irresistible
To the Wild Huntsmen of Truth;
Adorn this Altar
Of a Heart prepared
And laid bare for Thee.

Dear Rose of Avalon,
Nourished by flaming fusion
Of radiant wine and bread,
Of flesh and blood
Sucked from a Paradise
More generous and gracious
Than the extremities
Of Imagination;
Unfold thy bloom
With ample thrust of chastity
And with strength of vintage
Potent to liberate,
And then to Bind,
My Will to Thine.

Oh precious Flower,
Whose subtle pulsing kiss
Rips the Veil of unbelief
From off the Perfect Living
Body of Ancient Mystery;
Know that I,
Your servant,
Vow to seed your Word
Throughout this Earthly Garden
Of dreams yearning
For wide-eyed Resurrection.

Oh Rose of Avalon,
Your alchemical Thought
Made Flesh
Luminous and Eternal,
Love of Life shining clearly
From thy Will to Be
Exactly What You Are;
And with your conspired Laughter
Free from decay.

Joyous,
Beyond betrayal,
Forever grateful far beyond
The enfeebled rasp
Of dying death --
The ecstatic fabric
Of every Living Form
Now parts to bid thee enter
The Holy of Holies
And assume thy rightful Throne!

Oh Let thy Magick brew!
Bless...Conjure...Subvert...
The Ceremony of New Creation
Now Begins:
Oh Bless thy Children
With your most precious
Sacrament of Liberated Breath!
Conjure the Rise
Of Fireborn Immortality
Throughout this Aeon!
Subvert every Virgin Heart
With potency of rhythm
And with Vision pregnant
To overspill
God's most capacious Cup
With Everlasting Waters
Of Living Birth,
To hallow, to anoint
And to initiate
Into Bold Experience
This immaculate Incarnation
Of purity and perfect Beauty,
This pristine Child of ours,
This Earth!

Oh Rose of Avalon,
Our dreams have leaped
The horizon and waste no time
Before they embrace
The New Beyond --
And ever and ever and yet again
We Shall find you There,
Oh Mystic Rose of Avalon!
