If I became a fresh incarnation of Gaia the Earth and used my strength and the warm richness of my planetary blood to assert my personality... then the human race could be saved.
This was written around 1960, long before the ideas of Gaia as a living planet became popular. Arthur has returned and is this avatar or ''fresh incarnation'' of Gaia. The flow of planetary blood is the flow of Everlasting Life from the Heart Chakra of Glaston-Shaston, through the Great Dragon Leys which encircle the planet. The Wand of Byzant is the focus for this asserting of Gaian personality. The idea of leys bringing health and salvation to the earth have been around for a long time now. Here is this thought expressed by Air Chief Marshal Lord Dowding in 1945:
There are power-centres in many parts of this country and elsewhere that have in some way to be linked up and the power released into a sort of grid-system... The Cult of Arthur and his Knights must return to save the world and bring happiness back to Life. I wish I knew more about this, because I am Sure that is very important. But this I know, that enlightenment will come to those who are to be used for this work, and the Great Plan will go forward - forward inexorably towards the goal, which is the flooding of the world with Light and the elimination of darkness from every nook and cranny - for that is what we mean when we pray with every atom of energy we possess

Here again, we have the central theme of this Shaston Prophecy. Dowding (a great hero of WWII - a monument to him has lately been unveiled in London) regarded Iona and Glastonbury as being two of these great power-centres which, in the future, would generate the building of the New Jerusalem on this earth. In the Lord's Prayer, the Divine Will to be manifest on earth is concentrated in the Wand of Shaston.
I hope that it is clear that the Byzant at Shaston is an archetype of immense power for global change. It is not an object to be worshipped. Its physical presence is not essential to the working of the Glaston-Shaston Magick. But it would be nice to see the actual Byzant respected and Blessed by all beings of Good Will from every major and minor Religion.
Dowding worked with a group of like-hearted individuals around Britain. They saw that the earth was alive, that there was an ancient Wisdom lying within sacred sites, and that the pure Truth of Christ provided the unifying key to make this earth work. One of his associates, a Mrs. Hill, had a revelation on the summit of Glastonbury Tor during the War, on 5th August, 1944. She saw that Glastonbury ''is the centre of all the old Atlantean teaching.'' This New Aeon of Aquarius shall see the total Wisdom of the mythic lost Golden Age, or Eden, restored to all Beings upon this planet. 1989 at Shaftesbury began a major planetary Initiation in which the Divine Will becomes deeply rooted and more powerfully useful in the creating of Greater Life and True Peace for all Beings. You and I can aid this process through prayer and action. Make the Wand Will of Shaston your own, and use it!
William Barnes, the great Dorset poet, loved this part of England as deeply as anyone. In the opening to his poem called “Shaftesbury Feair”, we catch a glimpse of this Fortress of the Spear as Spiritual Zion:

The Heart of William Barnes held a great spiritual love for this earth, its beauty, and for his fellow beings who depend upon the planet for Life. If we love the Earth, then the earth makes a conscious and a creative response to our Love. The Wisdom of Gaia is only given to those who Love Life and Earth. The great planetary earth chakras, such as Shasta and Glaston-Shaston, are sources of the deepest earth wisdom. We can draw upon these ancient wells of Wisdom if we Love the Life that is in the Living Earth and in every creature that we share this world with. Ask yourself this question frequently: How can I express my love for this earth and all Life in a more powerful and creative Way? If you are sincere in your asking; I promise that you shall have clear answers...

The Purpose of the Shaston Vision of the Eagle, the Grail, and the Wand, is to honour and to empower your Divine True Will. Greater Love, Liberty, Life, and Light is Now freely offered to every being who hears and feels this Word!
The Wand is Fire and Liberty. The Cup is Water and Love. The Sword is Air and Life. The Stone is Earth and Light...Create an inner balance and an outer expressive harmony with these 4 elements or qualities. Using the above attributions, we see that one of the basic functions of the Shaston Wand is to further the cause of Liberty. Freedom of Will is essential. How often do we see each other scorning another person because they believe in something different than we do? Do not presume to ever tell another person what their True Will is. All we can do is emanate Love and Light and Life with the faith that our radiance shall aid in the illumination of the True Will within every Being.
The Wand of Shaston increases individual Liberty for every species throughout the world. The 1990's shall see a rapid growth in respect for the rights of animals and human-animals. As the human race acts to secure and protect the basic rights of every being, we will find that the World reacts in a positive way. The Divine Plan is keyed to unfold step by step in reaction to the creative spiritual growth of you and I as a collective body of individuals. If we learn to respect the Will to Live that every animal has, then the Earth shall reveal to us Wisdom and Ways of Life that are more wonderful and Divine than anything previously experienced on this planet. It is the action of the Liberty Wand at Shaston that opens the Way for the mystic Gate of the New Jerusalem to open near Moscow during the 1990's. Individual Liberty is the central Divine-Human quality which opens and defines this 13th Gate in Russia.
The Byzant-wand is the synthesis and representative of all cultural and religious wands. Celtic hazel wand, Gaelic yew, Tibetan Dorje, the vajra, mace, sceptre, Neptune's trident, bishop's crozier, all unite within the Heart-Will alchemy of the Earth at Shaston. The planet Pluto is associated with the Crown of the Tree of Life - Kether. This is the deepest centre of Divine Will and corresponds with the crown chakra. On a planetary level, this crown-will chakra is centred at Mt. Kailas in Tibet.
The Tree of Life is a Great Wand directing the flow of Immortal Love. The central pillar of the Tree is the world axis, the spear of destiny, and connects Malkuth to Kether - Earth to Pluto. On 5th of September, 1989, Pluto in Scorpio made its Perihelion passage to the sun. This rare event allowed the Planetary Heart to open with a mighty outpouring that vitalized Life and Liberated Will.

In the first stanza of this passage, Blake creates his own interpretation of the 4 elements. The 4 lines are earth, water, air, fire. The Bow of burning gold is the earth element alive with inner Light. In alchemy, gold is the goal - the change of matter from mortality to Immortality. This is only done when we realize that matter - Gaia - is already alive and filled with Will, Light and Life awaiting Liberty. The arrows of Desire are emotional and represent the Power of Love to change Life. Light-stone and Love-cup unite in the first two lines, for the arrows of Love are shot by the bow of alchemical gold. Grail Cup and Emerald Stone are blended at Glaston within the planetary Heart Centre at the Tor. The Throat Chakra of the Phoenix of Aquarius - the New Aeon - is the Tor.
Within the Tor is a Green Emerald Rose and within Chalice Hill, the Heart centre of the Phoenix, is the Grail Cup archetype. The Rose in the Throat emanates to the World the Love of the Grail...
Heart and Will unite and emanate from the centre of the Heart. This is the secret of Glaston-Shaston. Glaston without Shaston does not work. On a practical level, the spiritual activation of Shaftesbury by the Coming of the Eagle benefits the town of Glastonbury. We are all here to Liberate each other...
Blake's spear, in this case, is the same as the air-sword. The virtue of his spear is to strengthen the frequency of Life by cutting through the illusions that block us from using the creative powers of Mind to the fullest. In the 1950's, it became very popular to talk about the power of creative thought. Many books were written on positive thinking, you are what you think, etc. While this is true, it is only 1/4th of the whole. Be an alchemist of thought - but recognize that Will, Love, and Light are all equally important aspects to master.
Blake's Chariot of Fire is a powerful image. This is the classic vehicle of Bodily Translation, or Immortal Change, that is identified with Elijah. The sum of all Cabalistic Wisdom is represented by this Chariot. The Wand of Liberty, enflamed with inspiration and imagination, is the essence of Elijah's power to come and go as the wind from Heaven to earth and back again...
The Total Liberation of the Self is the Grand achievement of this New Aeon. When I communed with Elijah in 1967, this Wand of Liberty, this Chariot of fire, was at the heart-core of our conversation... We all have the ability to Recreate our Life Way so that Liberty and Love and Light triumph at every instant... So you believe that you have this Divine Ability?
