First
Team Manager Steps Down
First Team manager Glenn Haylett has informed the club
that he wishes to step down from his post with immediate effect, the decision
has been taken after several weeks
consideration and is due mainly to work commitments and time restrictions.
The club would like to thank Glenn for his hard work
since he has been involved with Gorleston FC and appreciate the big part he has
played in getting the club back on the right road.
Glenn has been at the club for three years, two of
those as youth team manager when he attracted many talented youngsters to the
club, and of course last season as first team manager when we had our most
successful season for some years culminating in us reaching the Ridgeons League
Cup Final
Jon White together with Martyn Sinclair who steps up
from the reserves will take over the running of the first team assisted by Mick
Wright and John Mann, they have been quick to appoint ex player Steve Bishop to
the post of Reserve team manager assisted by Alan Smith and Paul Williams.
Alan Smith will take over as Under 18 manager and will
be helped by Mark Fisk who he has worked with in the past.
Although the club are disappointed to have lost Glenn
we would like to welcome the new members of the management teams and are very
excited about the clubs prospects for the upcoming season.
