Legolas, Harry & the rest of the Gryffindor team together with Hermione & the Slytherin team look on as Gimli crashes into the ground during one of Hedwig's flying lessons.

The elf finally got his long delayed invitation to study witchcraft at Hogwarts. He was required to bring either a frog, an owl or a gimli. After showing great skills with a broom, he was promptly recruited to the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
