ENERGY RADIO came On-Air on Saturday 1st Oct. 1994 at 6pm. Many people worked hard to make the station sound different. Music was bought in Germany long before it came into the UK and Irish charts. One such person who worked hard at this was Gregs girlfriend at the time Masina Beelke.

BELOW: This jock had a few contacts in the music industry. It came as no surprise that a pop star like Louise gave him an interview for the station. This upset the local licenced station LMFM as they couldn't get an interview with her.
He also help set up an interview with the then hot stuff... EAST 17. Gregs parents didn't know what to do when around 50 girls turned up outside Gregs house ( where the station came from ) expecting to meet them!
The interview wasn't even done there! |

Bernard Woods was a well known local D.J. and once presented a weekday show from 4 - 8pm. He was admitted to hospital in May 2006 following a car crash in which he was a passenger where he remained in a coma until March 2007.

R.I.P. Bernard Woods. Missed by many.
