The Pioneer's is for young people between the ages of 9-12. We meet in a local hall on Wednesday evening between 6.45-8.15 PM.
A typical group night consists of discussions, games and craftwork and group work. All group programmes
for the Pioneers work towards the aims and principles of The Woodcraft Folk. |

At present we operate the Pioneer group with three leaders. 2 male and 1 female. Most evenings we have another female acting as eyes for the group. All leaders are now screen through the Criminal Records Bureau(CRB) and also for added protection screen through the Child Proctection check. All leaders who operate with group and indeed any adults who works with young people are all checked vigoriously through CRB and Child Proctection. We take very seriously the safety of the young people, so therefore we do as much checks as we can to create a safe environment for the young people. |

Camping Info
Harrow Woodcraft Folk has four camps a year in May, June, July and September. We camp locally over at Ruislip in NW London. The Pioneer's arrive midday on Saturday. The Pioneer's participate in games and activities during the day. In the Evening we have a campfire. Then we have a nightwalk through the Woods.
Sunday starts with a circle and then we go straight into craftwork. After lunch we play games in the woods and on the campsite. The camp is finnished at 5pm. |

France Trip Annually.
We all meet at Cannons Park Station at 5am. We then go by train to Victoria. We meet the coach which takes us to Dover. We then get into Calais for lunch time. We go on the ferry as foot passengers to keep the costs down.
We stay in a Youth Hostel in Calais and sometimes we stay somewhere else in France. The Youth Hostel is very clean and tidy. It also has very good security with cameras and special entry system after hours. We visit local attractions and enjoy the atmosphere of Calais. We eat at our favourite resturants which are child friendly.
