hayden's biography
On the 19th of April 1981 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Alie Christensen gave birth to a cute son, he had blonde hairs, dark blue eyes. Do you know who I'm talking about? Hayden Christensen, a star of his generation was born. The boy spent his first three years in British Columbia, until he moved with his family to Thornhill, Ontario.

His family, that were Alie (his mother), his father David as well as his silblings Tove (now 27) and Hejsa (25). Nowadays he has got a younger sister, but she wasn't born already when they moved. That's Kayleen (15).

Hayden's sister Hejsa was doing a commercial for the famous crisps 'Pringles', and right afterwards she went to an agency with her family. No one looked after Hayden, so he walked around, and then? No, he didn't find a talent agent for him, he was found. 'They asked me if I wanted to do some commercials and I said sure'. Lucky we are that the agent had such bright eyes for real talent!

After that he appeared in some commercials as well as in theather and television, but in 1993, when he was 12 years old, he climbed up a big step on his stairway to success: He got a continous role in the TV series FAMILY PASSIONS.

After that he got roles in some famous movie productions and acted next to famous actors, like perhaps HARRISON BERGERON with Sean Astin or THE VIRGIN SUICIDES with Josh Hartnett and Kirsten Dunst. To get an impression of his career, just check out the Filmography!

Besides, he didn't gave up school, as some youngster actors do. Hayden attended Unionville High School in Ontario until he was finally graduated in summer 1999. His fave hobby was ever playing blues or jazz on the piano, but he's very athletic as well and goes swimming, skateboarding, plays basketball, soccer and so on. That means, that he didn't lose the ground under his feet when he got famous. But that wasn't the big breakthrough yet.

Another big break was 2000 when he got another continues role in the TV series HIGHER GROUNDS, he showed his big talent as the teenager Scott Barringer, who was raped by his mother and turns to drugs. Although Hayden played the most popular character on HIGHER GROUNDS the show is put in jeopardy to be cancelled. Hayden had to think about his further activities and chances and then he got THE contract.

Do you know what I'm talking about? Right, George Lucas offered him on May 12th 2000 the role of Anakin Skywalker in STAR WARS: Episode II and III, because the director felt that Hayden had raw and not worn-out talent. And the chemistry between him and co-star Natalie Portman (plays Padmé Amidala) was just perfect. George Lucas showed again, that he has enough courage to pick a pretty unknown actor, to give him a chance, while putting down names like Leonardo diCaprio, Jonathan Jackson and Johnny Depp. And there we've got the breakthrough. The one breakthrough that made him famous all over the world as the man who will become Darth Vader.

Right now Hayden hides from all the rumours around his person, and he returned back home. But of course he won't give up acting, right now he's preparing for the start of the shooting of SHATTERED GLASS in Los Angelos and of course we'll meet him again in the final episode of STAR WARS: Episode III, where he finally turns to the Dark Side of the Force.
