An essential point which has to be made, is that H.C.C.U. is NOT a church. We are simply a group of students who come together with the main aim of making Jesus Christ known to others in Homerton. The leadership of H.C.C.U. is done entirely by students and so we do not claim to possess the authority or function of a church. We therefore strongly encourage everyone to attend a local church. Below is a list of a few popular churches in Cambridge...
Eden Baptist ChurchA large, evangelical Baptist church which has always been popular with students. The student team provide a good support network for students, including discussion groups and one-to-one Bible Studies. Cheap food is available in the evenings! Service times: 10:30, 6:00pm. The Church is at the bottom end of the Grafton Centre. http://www.eden-cambridge.org/
St Andrew the Great (StAG)A large, evangelical Anglican church also very popular with students. It is situated in the Lion Yard in the centre of town. It has many student activities including one-to-ones and specific student teaching. It also offers cheap food! Services are at 9:30, 11:30 and 5:00pm.

Most students go to the evening service which starts at 8:00pm and is characterised by fairly lively praise and worship followed by sound biblical teaching. The church is on Mill Road near the railway line. http://www.stbarnabas-cambridge.org.uk/
Holy TrinityA central Cambridge Anglican church, more traditional evangelical and is located opposite WH Smith near Market Square. The main service with a variety of hymns and modern music is at 11:00am. There is also a Communion service at 6:00pm.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of all the churches in Cambridge, and there are several other good ones which you may like to try out. If you want more information about any of the churches above, or any others, please do e-mail us on info@hccu.org.uk and we will put you in contact with a student from that church.
