THE HETHERSETT MILLENNIUM COMMITTEE

The Millennium Committee was established following a public meeting, in 1998, with the brief to initiate and co-ordinate events to celebrate and commemorate the new millennium in Hethersett. Although set up and initially funded by Hethersett Parish Council, the Committee acts independently. By 2001, when its activities are complete, the Committee hopes to have generated enough income from the events it has organised to cover its initial funding and to allow this and any surplus to be used for a commemorative project in Hethersett. The Committee has 15 voluntary members drawn from a broad cross-section of the local community.

COMMEMORATIVE PROJECT

The Committee would like to hear your ideas or suggestions for a commemorative project. This should preferably be something permanent, visible, of interest to all ages and command support from across the community. The target funding for the project is not less than £2000 but this will be dependent primarily upon your support for the events the Committee is organising during 2000. If you have any ideas please contact Colin Wilson at cwilson@hethersettuk.freeserve.co.uk or any of the following committee members.
