Welcome to the Hill Valley Telegraph Fan Fiction Archives. My stories cover the adventures of Dr Emmett L Brown and Marty McFly, together with their families and friends, as they travel into the past, present and future. They are all completely unofficial and can be read by anyone.
My stories are listed in chronological order (ie stories with a "present time" of 1985 come before those with a "present time" of 1986). Most of them can be read in any order, although you may wish to start with Back To The Present as it sets up the events of my BTTF "universe", plus there are a few back references to previous stories in newer stories. There's also a trilogy of stories which do need to be read in order, but they are clearly labelled "Part 1", "Part 2" and "Part 3".
There are a few stories that are not part of my "universe". These included the original version of "In The Beginning" (because I thought of a better idea for my "universe"), and the first fan fic I ever wrote, "Back To The Millennium", which just doesn't fit in with the events I've set up in my "universe" (since it was the first one I wrote! :-)). These now have their own section.
None of my stories may be copied without my permission. They are all completely unofficial. Characters from the films are not mine and are copyright Universal Studios and U-Drive Productions. All other characters, such as Dr Ritchie Chase, Jez Needles or Tiffany Tannen, are my own creation and may not be used without permission.
Recent Updates: A new story is online, one which took me some months to complete. Make sure you're sitting comfortably, because compared to some of my other stories, "Best Care Anywhere" is a long 'un!

BEST CARE ANYWHERE Written May/June/July 2005.
When Jules is rushed to hospital, Ritchie blames himself. Losing his confidence as a doctor, Ritchie heads back to South Korea, 1952 - during the middle of the Korean War! Trapped at a MASH unit, Ritchie is relieved when Doc and Marty arrive from 1987 to take him home - but the real trouble has just begun.
DOC'S STORY Written February/March 2003.
After Marty goes back to 1985, Marshall Strickland has some questions about what happened to the train, the robbers and "Clint Eastwood". Later, on the evening of September 7th 1885, Clara also has some questions - what was Doc's life like? He tells her about his life, with events such as him discovering Jules Verne, his mansion burning down and what happened the first time he visited 2015.
IN THE BEGINNING Written January 2003.
How Marty McFly and Doc Brown met and became friends. This Doc is the one who Marty met in 1955 and as thus must make sure they meet! A new story about how Doc and Marty met, which is now the "official" meeting of my BTTF universe.
BACK TO THE PRESENT Written March 2002.
Doc Brown announces he and his family wish to leave 1895 and move back to 1985. But there's a few problems for them to overcome - what to tell people about his family, where to live, getting used to the future - oh, and getting the 2015 licence plate from the wrecked DeLorean off Needles' brother Jez!
A RED LETTER DATE Written November 5th 2002.
It's November 5th 1985, the 30th anniversary of the invention of time travel, and Doc tells Jules and Verne about the events of that day, leading up to a visit from a boy who claimed he was from the future...
PROHIBITED Written September 2002.
In a few days time it is Doc and Clara's wedding anniversary, so Marty and Jennifer go to 1895 to get them a present. Unfortunately, there's something wrong with the DeLorean and they end up in 1925. There's also a stowaway, Tom Tannen. Too bad Tom looks so much like his grandfather Buck, wanted for selling alcohol during the Prohibition era...
THE DAY TODAY Written June 2002.
No time travel here, but in 3 separate stories we see what happened on November 22nd 1985 for George, Lorraine and Biff, and how their stories all link together.
WHEN BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE Written October 2002.
Marty is in detention for something he didn't do, and when George goes to fetch him he is involved in a car accident. Marty feels guilty about it and goes back in time to prevent the accident from happening, but will the new reality be any better for the McFlys?
NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENTS Written December 2002.
It's the Brown's first Christmas in 1985, but Clara is concerned that Verne has forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. An accident means that Marty, Jennifer, Jules and Verne are trapped in 2002, where Verne has to learn that Christmas is not just about presents.
UNEXPECTED VISITORS Written April 2003.
An accident with the time train leads Doc discovering that Marty Junior and Marlene are in 1986 to see their father's dance next Saturday. Unfortunately their time machine isn't working, and as there is no working time machine MJ and Marlene are stuck here! And we are introduced to Dr Ritchie Chase, who knows something in Doc's past that Doc never knew about.
EVERYONE LOVES A TANNEN Written May 2003.
Doc and Ritchie go to 1995 to buy some movie tickets to Apollo 13 for the family. A simple task, right? But when the two return home, they find an alternate reality - where Marty broke his wrist racing Needles and Clara, Jules and Verne don't even exist. Doc and Ritchie had better fix things, and fast.....
A STARLIGHTER IS BORN Written September/October/November 2003.
After Jules and Verne accidentally damage one of Doc's favourite books, Marty takes the boys back to 1957 to get a new copy. But when they return to 1986, they discover that Marvin Berry and the Starlighters have become famous - and taken a turn for the worse. Marty and the boys have to back to 1957 and stop their self-destructing rise to fame.
THE TANNENATOR Written January 2004.
In 2029, the humans, lead by Marlene and Marty Jr, are finally winning the war against the robots in a post-apocalyptic world. But the machines have sent back a Tannenator to 1986. Its mission - to find and destroy Marty McFly and Jennifer Parker so their kids will not be born. The resistance send back a protector for them - it is just a matter of who will reach them first.....
BLAST IN THE PAST Written November 2001.
An explosion in Courthouse Square makes Doc realise the Libyans are still after him. It's up to Marty and Jennifer to go back and prevent the blast - and avoid Marty's parents and Needles!!!
WHERE THERE'S A WILL... Written February 2002.
When Marty, Doc and Jennifer go to 1895 to get some medicine for Clara, 11 year old William McFly sneaks aboard and goes back to 1986. Marty has to get him back to 1895 before the ripple effect catches up and erases all William's future descendants - including Marty...
BORN ON THE 3RD OF JULY Written July 3rd 2003.
It's Marty's 18th birthday, and after receiving his presents from his family and friends, Doc takes him back to July 3rd 1968, the day Marty was born. An accident involving Marty and a dog however leads to Marty encountering some people he probably shouldn't meet on the day he is born.....
RUNNING OVER AND OUT OF TIME Written March 2004.
Whilst testing out the new Destination Location in the DeLorean, Marty, Doc and Clara head back to 1975. But disaster strikes when Doc accidentally runs over his past self! With 1975 Doc in a coma which he might not survive, and the DeLorean not being able to go faster than 32mph, things aren't looking very good for either Doc!
ON THE DARK SIDE (Part 1) Written May/June 2004.
After Verne gets good grades at school, he, his family, Marty and Jennifer head back to 1969 to watch the Moon Landings live. However the time travellers get mistaken for burglars and are arrested, and it is up to the Doc of 1969 to save them! But even then, their troubles might not yet be over.....
RELATIVELY SPEAKING (Part 2) Written August 2004.
Finding themselves in an alternate 1969, the time travellers try to find out why this new reality has been created, and what they can do to put things right. But problems lay ahead - Marty's existence is in danger and an old foe from the past returns to cause more problems. Will the time travellers ever get home?
EASTWOOD IS BACK IN TOWN (Part 3) Written November/December 2004.
Buford Tannen has Doc's family and Jennifer hostage in 1896, and things aren't looking too good for Doc and Marty either. History might be back on track, but is in danger of skewing again unless their fellow time travellers are rescued soon and Carl Lester is returned to 1969. However, 'Clint Eastwood' might be able to save the day and get everyone back to where and when they belong.
9-11 Written June 2002.
After Doc adds a "Destination Location" onto the DeLorean, Jules and Verne decide to head to New York to stand on top of the World Trade Center. Unfortunately, they pick their Destination Time as September 11th 2001.....
CHRISTMAS OF '55 Written December 2003/2004.
Whilst preparing for his first Christmas with Ritchie, Doc tells Marty about how much he loves Christmas now he has his family - and how lonely he was in Christmases past. Marty heads back to Christmas of 1955 to put a festive smile on his friend's face.

This is the old version of the story, it has since been replaced with the new "official" version of the tale in my universe, but I thought I'd keep the new version just for entertainment. :-)
BACK TO THE MILLENNIUM Written November 2001.
It's December 31st 1999, and the McFlys and Browns get together to celebrate. How? By visiting December 31st 999!!!
