The Weakest Link has now arrived at Portugal. RTP has bought popular game show, The Weakest Link, from BBC. The local name is "O Elo Mais Fraco", which is the exact translation of "The Weakest Link" in Portuguese. The host of the first series is Júlia Pinheiro, who has worked in RTP for 19 years.

Starting from the second series, Luísa Castel-Branco will replace Júlia Pinheiro to be the host of O Elo Mais Fraco.

O Elo Mais Fraco premieres 11th June 2002, at 10:05pm on RTP 1.

Series 2 Host (Current): Luísa Castel-Branco

After following what China did, RTP has changed hosts on the popular Portuguese quiz show O Elo Mais Fraco.

Starting this Season 2, Júlia Pinheiro will be replaced with Luísa Castel-Branco.

Series 1 Host: Júlia Pinheiro

Júlia Pinheiro started to the 19 years in the RTP with the programme "Is N'essa". It passed then, three years later, the professional of the communication when it was for the radio, where it was eight years to present programmes of entertainment and popular diffusion of its authorship. However never it lost the idea to come back to the television. E the chance appeared in 1992, when presenter of the program became "Public square", in the SIC. Emídio Rangel he was the author of this production of the canal of Carnaxide and the three following programs the one that Júlia  Pinheiro would come to give the face: "Night of the Harm-language", "the Children of the Nation" and "Cantigas de Mal To say". After leaving the presentation of program "SIC 10 Hours", were the presenter of the "Martian Nights". Júlia is still partner of the Television producer "Nanook", responsible for sets of documents as "the Women of the Century" and the "Sexappeal". At this moment we find it in return to the studios of the RTP.
