Hog The Limelight: Performance & Workshop

Sunday 12th October - Workshop 3.00 - 4.30, Performance 5.00 - 6.30/7.00 ish.

Workshop info:

The Workshop explores how we create and shape character, and the surreal element of the world of the grotesque. This means that participants will really look at how to create fun and bizarre characters. The character work in our show will be our case study. Participants will work with actors from the show and create a performance piece which will use text and the groups imaginations to begin the process, resulting in a short performance at the end of the session.

Show Info:

Wet Picnic presents a strange and dark tale that's not to be missed. Based on poetry by Edgar Allen Poe and the works of Tim Burton, the piece follows the story of a young man Rodney Dillyweed who is trapped between the world of the living and the world of the dead. As he meets deathly beings and strange creatures we follow his journey to reach a resolution. A moving and dark piece, which uses stilts and strange characters to transform the space in to a different world. This tale is for adults and brave children 8+.

Tickets cost £5.00 with workshop or just performance for £4.00. Tickets available from Alison Dickson on 01420 84905 or email on waynenoskcid@hotmail.com
