Radio Lion was founded back in 1980 with funds raised by the local Lions
Club of Chester.
Broadcasting started on March 15th 1981 from our Portakabin studio
in the grounds of the Chester City hospital.
In 1984 the City hospital closed and we moved our Portakabin to our
present location, in the grounds of the Countess of Chester hospital on
Liverpool road.
