William Stratford. his 1753 legacy of £300 was the beginning
of a process that led to the opening of a hospital in 1756.

W. M. Thackery, 1798 to 1827, founded Infirmary library. Mrs R.Tidswell
= 1903 Chester Infirmary Outpatients Department
and operating theatre built with her £600 donation. Richard
Tidswell. M.A. of Bank House. Heswall - Chester Royal
Infirmary theatre was enlarged, reconstructed and furnished in
his memory by his wife in 1904 .Mrs.
James Taylor, provided Chester Royal Infirmary with a new
operating theatre in memory of her husband, James
Taylor FRCS .JP one of the Infirmarys honorary
surgeons. He was connected with the Infirmary for 40 years.
