On the first Saturday of November, a dark clouded day, we went to the University city of Heidelberg. It was the Spaniards Miguel and Albert, the Italians Paola, Michaela, Mikele and the sister of Michi, the Russian boyfriend to the sister and then there was of course me. I had been out partying until late the night before and none of the three people I had conviced into joining us on the trip showed up at Hauptbahnhof at ten o'clock in the morning. Myself I was surprisingly fit after only three hours of sleep, but a little bit more sleeping during the train ride did me well.

In Heidelberg the main goal was the old castle, partly destroyed by the French in the 19th century, but we also spent quite some time in the old city where Paola and Michi had been doing a three week German course. In the evening we went to a café and to a pub (...where we saw the football game where Vfb Stuttgart defeated Leverkusen with 1-0!) before we left for Stuttgart at around eight.

Thanks Hans for lending me your digital camera!
