Image Communications was born in about 1989, when two blokes met at 6th form college, and found they had a similar interest in sound, radio and computers.

The next few years was sporadically spent experimenting with bits of old electronic equipment and 1980s computers to make 'radio shows' for the people of a small South Coast town, under the name "Image FM." These shows were embarassingly bad.

Jon went on to work in computers - you can find his website ("OnAStick Software") here: http://www.onasticksoftware.co.uk. He still keeps in touch with jim (the other member of the duo) and he's currently writing an audio playout system. One day, an Image FM reunion will happen. Stay in your homes.

A brief - and forgettable - time at University, the (almost) mandatory employment at a supermarket, a job in electronics and, more recently work as an IT bloke in commercial radio made up the (ahem) highlights of jim's CV. But that's not important right now.

During this time, though, he carried the Image Communications mantle, with the joint objectives of creating original music and building a recording studio to produce it in. This, then, is jim's story. (cue some "Real Life Documentary" music..)
