Established in February 1998, the HIV Quality Care Network (formerly the HIV Managed Care Network) has three primary goals: To help health care providers make the transition from delivering care to HIV-infected patients in fee-for-service settings to managed care settings so the quality of patient care remains high. To develop data on cost and outcomes in different delivery systems to assist with appropriate public policy-making on the care of HIV-infected patients. To influence public policy to improve the quality of care for HIV/AIDS patients and to achieve fair compensation for providers.
