This page has been created for those patients, fellow doctors or legal professionals who would like information about my professional
background and current clinical outcome figures.
I have been a practising consultant neurosurgeon at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol,
UK for the past 7 years and my normal clinical workload includes the assessment and treatment of a large number of patients
with congenital and degenerative disc disease of the cervical or lumbar spine, paediatric brain tumours and cerebrospinal
shunts.
My current sub-specialist interests include paediatric neurosurgery, hydrocephalus, head injury and congenital spinal disorders.
I have a specialist interest in spina bifida and its related conditions both in adults and in children. I am on the executive
committee (publication secretary) of the Society for Research into Hydrocephalus & Spina Bifida.
To date I have written or co-written 36 papers on paediatric neurosurgery, hydrocephalus, lumbar disc disease and general
neurosugical topics. Currently I serve as co-chairman on a Local Research Ethics Committee and although I am happy to undertake
private referrals most of my work is for the NHS.
