Noraid aspires to a "united Ireland". It believes in a pure Gaelic and Nationalist Ireland.  This is a racist ideology.  Noraid denounces those who do not share that vision for Ireland.  It denounces those who can claim Northern Ireland as their homeland but do not share Noraid's vision.

Noraid's vision of the conflict in Northern Ireland encourages exclusion and removal of those who have an alternative political view.  They deny the population of Northern Ireland any human rights unless they accept the Gaelic Nationalist agenda that Noraid wish to impose on them. Noraid sees its agenda very simply as getting the "Brits out" of Ireland. Whether a Northern Ireland citizen has lived in Ulster for 3,000 years or 300 they are seen to be an obstacle to their idealised agenda encapsulated in ‘Brits Out’ and ‘Gaelic Only’ slogans.

Noraid is extremely anti-British.  It shuns all association with the British people.  It encourages economic boycott of British goods.  It attempts to damage British business and regularly protests and attempts to disrupt the life of British people and British heritage in the United States.

"Almost throughout the troubles, despite divisive splits over policy, Noraid has been raising money for Sinn Fein in the US. In the 1980s Noraid raised about $300,000 a year for Sinn Fein and a few years ago a New York fundraising dinner raised over $100,000. Today a similarly high profile event could raise many times that.

In 1982 Noraid co-founder Martin Flannery told a New York court he had supplied money for IRA arms since the late 1950s. Mr Flannery, who emigrated to America in 1927 after fighting for the IRA’s north Tipperary brigade in the civil war, said the bulk of the IRA’s arms and money since 1970 had come from America."
