About Me

My name is John Watson. I've been known by many nicknames over the years (currently Jockie seems to be in vogue), but for the purpose of these pages I shall be referred to as Johnny. I was the vocalist of two underground bands from the 80's Edinburgh Garage scene, namely The Pterodaktyls & Johnny & the Deadbeats. Unlike at least three members of these groups I still live in Edinburgh & I have been married to a Brasilian girl called Carlie for almost five years now. I hope you enjoy reading these pages & maybe they will bring back some memories for you (if you were around in Edinburgh at the time) or maybe they will prove interesting if you want to know more about the more obscure bands on the scene.
