Specific recent work

The flower tattoos I had done on my feet in 1995 were one of the most painful ones I have had done, but I am glad I covered them. I had background shading applied later.

Wearing the red shoes, people often remark that they truly make the tattoos look good.

Eye on Neck by Ron Ackers.

At the 1999 Annual December Tattoo Convention Ron Ackers arranged to add a lovely eye tattoo on the back of my neck.

Here I am having my head tattooed by Mo'o at the Barcelona Tattoo expo. The tattoos on either side of the head were done in 2001 & 2002 Barcelona in the traditional South Sea Island manner using a stick with a bar mounted on it which was tapped into skin to form a line in the skin with one tap. Surprisingly the pain is minimal land certainly not unpleasant.

These were tribal designs applied behind my ears using traditional hand tattooing methods.

Hori-Hiro tattooing my hands at the Tattoo Convention in Lausanne, Switzerland November 2003.

The choker on my neck and a small tattoo on my forehead which were done by Flip Leu in Lausanne, Switzerland in November and December 2003. Flip is an extremely nice person and very good tattoo artist. He is tremendously patient and believes in paying a lot attention to detail to achieve the best tattoo.

On the side of my neck, within the tattoo he has signed his name. Something which I have not had done before but I am very happy with this. The work done on my forehead by Filip was done in November at the Lausanne convention and then completed in December when he did the complete choker at his studio.

This tattoo in the palm of my hand was tattooed by Rinus from Middelburg in Holland at a convention held in Vlissingen, Holland. I am hoping that the colour and linework will stay in as Rinus constructed this sacred heart tattoo by repeatedly dotting rather than drawing lines and doing normal shading

The tattoo being done on my forehead is by a Japanese artist named Yushi Takei and he will I believe be a much sought after artist in the future, judging by his current standard of work. The tattoo that he has done at Cheltenham in 2004 is done initially with a brown outline to see how it fits with the earlier work of Filip Leu. It is proposed to firm up on this design in the near future.

In November 2004 Yushi reworked my forehead tattoo that he had previously done to give  greater definition and brightness to complete the earlier work

One year after having the palm of my hand tattooed some ink had come out and hence I decided to get it redone in Buenos Aires.

Rework of tattoo one year after original tattoo, however, this will need further rework in the future.
