About Me!
All right, here's the short version. I am a Computer Science major (about to switch to Psycology w/ CS minor or International Studies) freshman at Virginia Tech and an Air Force cadet (soon to be Navy Midshipman). I was born in 1982 in Wiesbaden, Hessen, Deutschland. I took four years of Army JROTC in high school, ending out as a c/Master Sergeant. Not the best, but I didn't want too much responsibility at the time so I'd be free to do other things. I was on varsity track for two years, armed drill team for two, rifle team for two, and in the computer club for two years. (one full year and two years until track season). Yes, this is discombobulated, but bear with me. I guess the only other thing to bring up is my name. I changed it a few years back. It was James, but think: how many Jameses do you know? I've known as many as seven at a time. One annoying incident was when two other Jamses and I were walking through the hall and someone yelled «James!» and all three of us looked, but the message was for someone else in the hall! I needed something more original. Jaime (not Jamie) is the Spanish & Portuguese version of James. It gets annoying how much trouble people have with it. Just think of «High» and «May,» as in the month. Put 'em together. Easy, right? Well, if it's that hard, I'll answer to J.L. just the same.
Well, this is the slimmed down bio. I don't feel like going into much detail. There's nothing very interesting anyhow. By the way, my sister keeps reading this school-required book in redneck dialect (also known as southern dialect or old-school ebonics) aloud, and I think it's getting to me.
Oh, as an afterthought: I speak English and almost enough Spanish to qualify as «being able to speak it» (four years). I took a bit of German my senior year of high school and intend to get back to both German and Spanish. I have also been studying Esperanto. Some of my most advanced sayings: «La amikinoj faros kukojn.» and «Cxu vi forgesis la kafon?» Yes, that's right folks, self-paced learning and I don't get on none too well. One day I want to learn Russian, and then either Hebrew or Chineese.
Oh yeah, and a lot of people want to know «what I am.» Well, you heard it here first. In no particular order: Native American, Ukranian (Jewish), German (Jewish), Irish, English, and, as I generally put it, generic caucasian.
