A relatively successful playing career, topped with the honour of donning the </div> <div> red & blue of the mighty Shots, followed by a successful management record including 2 </div> <div> promotions in his first 2 seasons at The Rec, including a championship, as well as play-</div> <div> off success with Colchester. However, his finest achievment came in the summer of </div> <div> 1994 when he plucked a young, relatively unknown left back from the roundabout-</div> <div> obsessed Camrose boys. Little did Wiggy or the Shots faithful know that this young man </div> <div> would go on to become the legend that is...Jason Chewins.</div> <bR> <div> Forget Carlos. Forget Giggs and Rivaldo. The sweetest left boot in the world can be </div> <div> found here in Sunny Hampshire. For the past 8 years Shots fans have seen the </div> <div> development of the planet's finest 'leftie' as Chewy has made the left-back position at </div> <div> the Rec his own. Stunning strikes in all-important games, crunching tackles and an </div> <div> almost religious non-usage of the right boot has seen the great man establish himself in </div> <div> Aldershot folklore alongside The Duke of Wellington and Edgar Jerome.</div> <bR> <div> This page offers our own little shrine to Chewy (as well as an excuse to include a few </div> <div> pics of ourselves for our 15 minutes of fame), marking the announcement that the left-</div> <div> footed legend will soon be honoured by the club with a much-earned testimonial. </div> <bR> <div> It's just a bit of fun, so don't expect anything too flash, and don't expect any cutting </div> <div> news or major announcements from the club.
