Woodeaton is a working quarry in Oxfordshire that provides Middle Jurassic fossils dating back about 150 million years.
Here you can find masses of brachiopods and bivalves along with echinoids, gastropods and crinoids. The quarry has also revealed a Stegosaurus!
We were very fortunate to be allowed access to this site with thanks going to Roy and Lu who arranged permission for a brilliant, if muddy day fossiling.
At their website you'll see their own finds including some great echinoid specimens.
