He grew up in Los Angeles, the youngest of three children. Jason was named one of TV's sexiest men by Soap Opera Digest, and has credits in television (recurring and guest roles), live theatre, film and stand-up comedy. Before he entered showbiz, Jason had co-founded a successful business selling non-fat yogurt, using the skills he acquired studying business administration at college.His first real job in show biz was a mail room position. When Jason first auditioned for Days of Our Lives, the casting agent didn't hire him for the role, but later cast him in the role of Peter without an audition. Though his stint on Days brought him to the public eye, it also cost him a movie role in 1996. Jason won an award for Outstanding Villain at the 1995 Soap Opera Awards but his many other recurring and guest-star roles attest to his versatility as an actor. His career spans theatre, tv shows and small independent features. According to Jason, "As an actor, my biggest concern is the material, and not necessarily the medium. If I can find good material on television, that’s fine – if I have to do film to find it, that’s fine too."
