Amber
Benson, better known as Tara, will not be returning to Buffy, Joss Whedon
told TV Guide in a recent interview.
"It was a question of negotiations, as it sometimes is," he told TV Guide Online. "It's sad, because I love Amber. But that's between her and Fox." Adds Benson's rep: "She's very proud of her work on the show, but ultimately, we couldn't work out the right deal."
"We decided it would be unfair of us, particularly considering the circumstances of Tara's controversial death, to say, 'Oh, now Willow's over it.' Or, 'Willow's bi so we can have more storylines,'" he continues. "So, we do have somebody in mind that Willow will meet in the future who might shake up her world just a little bit — and it'll be a girl."

Jeffery
Bell, Angel's main show-runner, talked recently about upcoming events on
the show, including the return of fan favourites Faith and Angelus.
This season's Big Bad, who's name is yet to be revealed, is introduced in
4.07 (airs November 17) and reappears in the next episode, which won't air until
January 2003. Only one force on Earth can stop this inhuman monster - Angelus,
Angel's vampire alter-ego. Angel Investigations is said to keep him in a cage
until they need him but he escapes and need slayer Faith to help control him,
who returns in February's sweeps period.
Bells also revealed that in last season's finale "Tomorrow" Angel
was supposed to buried under a mall by Conner, but was later changed for watery
tomb.

Ain't
It Cool News has released information on episode 1.04 of Joss Whedon's FOX
project Firefly. The episode is due to air in the States in late
October.
"[The episode "Safe"] deals with what happens when the Serenity’s doctor Simon chases after his severely traumatized,
sister River and they get separated from the rest of the crew. They’re soon captured and dragged into the woods by backward, superstitious hillbillies who proclaim: "Got ourselves a doctor!"
revealed the site's resident spoiler expert Hercules.
"The rest of the Serenity crew, meanwhile, seek out the help of an Alliance cruiser when the holy man, Book, is badly injured. The ship’s commander seems ready to tell Mal and Zoe to get lost - until a wincing Book unexpectedly hands the Alliance officers a scrap of electronic paper. Upon reading it, the Alliance commander orders: "Get this man to the infirmary at once." The Serenity crew looks on, dumbfounded, as the wounded preacher is spirited away."

Internet Movie Database has revealed some possible future casting. Information
from IMDB has been dubious in the past so it's all currently rumor status. For
Buffy, Tim Curry is credited as Uther, the First Vampire and Adam Sandler
(pictured right) is credited as Heglar, head Hormas Demon. Both are highly unlikely. However, Robin
Riker is listed as reprising her role as Catherine Madison for episode 7.02
currently titled "Beneath You". Amy Madison was last seen trapped in
her cheerleading statue, and a cut scene from 4.10 "Doomed" confirmed
she survived the Graduation explosions.
For Angel, 4.01 "Deep Down" guest stars Andy Hallet as The Host and Vincent
Kartheiser as Conner/Steven. This news
has been confirmed.

Industry sources have said that Marti Noxon put out a
casting call for "Slayers-In-Waiting" for an upcoming episode in
season seven of Buffy.
Slayers-In-Waiting are candidates should the worst
happen to the current Slayer. They are found by The Watcher's Council and
trained by other Watchers until one is called when the Slayer dies. They
featured heavily in Christopher Golden's novel "Spike And Dru: Pretty Maids
All In A Row". Whether or not the plot will be similar is unknown.
