Buffy news/episode guides

BBC Buffy The new home of Rob Francis, creator of The Watcher's Web, has achieved ral coups this year with exclusive video interviews with the Buffy and Angel cast and crew from LA. Highlights include the episode reviews; interviews, live chats, quizzes and competitions, and behind the scenes features with the cast and production staff; character/monster/cast profiles. Ignore at your peril! www.bbc.co.uk/buffy Official Buffy The glamorous, new official site is a thing of great inventiveness compared with the site that (appropriately) died after Buffy's exit from the WB in summer 2001. Sparky as it is, apart from the detailed episode synopses, the information it contains is fairly basic - cast bios, Buffy myth, etc. However, it does contain a new version of the legendary Bronze posting board; plus you can download fancy episode clips and trailers. However, UK fans beware: this is spoilers galore. www.buffyupn.com Fox UK This is designed predominantly to promote the video and DVD boxsets, but there is a whole lot of other great stuff thrown in on top as well……The Buffy has trailers, 2 wallpapers and a screensaver to download as well as postcards (one for each season) and a scrapbook (photo gallery). An extra wallpaper is cunningly available to anyone who can complete the quiz. The graphics and site layout are fantastic, and it’s simple and quick to navigate – the only drawbacks are that the quality of the pictures in the gallery aren’t really up to standard, and the information actually provided about each boxset is fairly limited (read our reviews!). www.fox.co.uk/buffy Buffyguide The most comprehensive Buffy guide available. An amazing amount of continuity notes, behind the scenes information, pop culture reference details, goofs and gaffes, and dialogue quotes. Not as updated as quickly as it used to be - but we have sympathy with that. Running a website is a black hole for time… www.buffyguide.com Spoiler Slayer If you’re looking for Buffy spoilers, Ten’s domain is perfect for you. The site currently contains a detailed list of stories for season 6, with their origins and whether or not they’ve been confirmed, as well as daily-updated discussions regarding spoilers and news tidbits. The writer is fairly amusing, and puts a number of ideas across well – definitely worth checking out. www.spoilerslayer.com Buffy's Place This is a good all-round site for Buffy fans, with cast profiles, summaries of more recent episodes, and regularly updated news. They've a great collection of photos too, but what amazed me most is the huge and unusual selection of wallpapers, along with clips and sounds from Buffy episodes for you to play with. www.buffysplace.org
