While in Paris, staying in the 14th district, I noticed an area that looked cool while riding in a taxi. I had no idea what it was, because it was mostly hidden behind a large fence/wall, but it looked really old. So a couple days later I paid a visit, camera in hand...
It turned out to be a cemetery, with a lot of history. Apparently there are a lot of famous people buried there, but I have no idea who because I didn't bother to buy a map - No, its NOT where Jim Morrison is buried, I can tell you that much.
Anyway, I suppose it could be considered a bit morbid to hang out in a cemetery as if it were a park, but thats exactly what I did; blame it on the fact I was playing the role of a tourist, and that I am a fan of sculpture. I wasn't the only one - there were plenty of people walking around checking things out. I enjoyed the scenery, and it was a relaxing way to spend part of an afternoon.
