Jah Wobble's Invaders Of The Heart: After a series of intenational concerts including the U.S.A. (New York), Scotland (Edinburgh Hogmanay), Holland (The Hague North Sea Jazz Festival -with live highlights on Dutch TV), and Greece (Athens 'Free Tibet' Festival) in 1998-99, they released the result of the extraordinary session recorded by the original lineup with Jaki Liebezeit of Can: Full Moon Over the Shopping Mall, after their live appearances in London's Camden Festival. They now collaborate with world music Laotian singers Molam Lao: their outstanding CD, Molam Dub is the result, as featured live at Brighton, Dour (Belgium), and Hiroshima World Peace Festivals with guest star Bill Laswell.
Jah Wobble & Deep Space: In the last two years they have featured at The South Bank's Contemporary Music Festival, The British Library and London Tate Gallery's William Blake celebrations, a string of tours and festivals at home (including Plymouth Eclipse), in Greece, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, and in France with The Red Hot Chilli Peppers: the Roman Arenas in Nîmes in front of 12,000 fans and the prestigious Paris Zenith. Their title comes from the acclaimed CD of the same name released by 30 Hertz Records. Their most outrageous improvised trance-dub CD so far: Beach Further Spare was released next, followed by Passage to Hades, the CD featuring jazz-improv. virtuoso Evan Parker, and their long-awaited double live album: Largely Live in Hartlepool and Manchester was next. They toured major U.S. cities in May and September 2001, with three dates in New York's famous Knitting Factory. Another tour is planned for next June. Whatever next? Jean-Pierre Rasle and Simon Poulter completed their computer art/music collaborative project on Wittgenstein's Tractatus thanks to a Research and Development grant from the Arts Council. They are due to tour it as a live multimedia show with guest musicians. |
