We are very happy to share, completely free of charge, the fruits of our many years' genealogical labours with bona fide  Family History researchers for their own private use, but not for use by professional genealogists for commercial purposes or financial gain! In exchange, we welcome information from all authentic sources as well as copies of Family Trees — Tony & John W.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
Herefordshire

We'll be adding to this section as we develop the site but in the meantime we'd like to comment that many of the questions that we currently receive via email and fax are already answered elsewhere in these Wozencraft Family History pages! Please also read our ADVICE page via our Main Menu.

Q. How do I find-out what information is in these webpages?
A.
It's just a matter of choosing the appropriate button on the Main Menu and either reading, printing-out or downloading ( File, Save As) the respective page(s) for reading at your leisure when you're off-line.

Q. How can I send you the information and documents that you need to help you search for information about my ancestors ?
A. You can send us this essential information via a number of methods; you can send us the plain text by email or you can send us scanned-in images as jpg, gif or tiff images. Alternatively you can fax copies of the documents to us -- just use the Contact Us button for full details. Failing that, you can contact us by email and we will forward a Mailing Address.

Q. Are you able to reply to all emails and faxes ?
A. Because of the high email and fax traffic and questions that we receive from all around the world, we're sorry but we are unable to answer or respond to questions to which the answers can already be found here in these pages!

Please see especially the Notes on the page about Contacting Us. You may also receive automated responses to your emails depending on the Subject and the content.

Please note that if you leave empty the SUBJECT line of your email, your email will automatically be placed at the end of the queue, so always remember to put some key words in the SUBJECT line.

Also, you need to write a proper e-mail letter, identifying yourself, and providing the information we have requested in order for us to search our databases for your W ancestor.

For example, this sort of e-mail to us, will go straight in the Trash Bin, viz.

"Hi

I was wondering if you could find my gt gt grandfather Bert who lived in Lancashire

Brian"

Q. What information can you provide?
A. In exchange for the information that you provide, of your family history research especially names, dates and places, we will search our very extensive databases of the various W branches that we have complied over the last 30+ years.

However, we cannot provide information about people that is not already in the public domain except where we have the owner's prior written permission to share their family history; if at all possible, we will pass-on your enquiry to the person(s) concerned and after that it's entirely up to them whether, or not, they wish to contact you. You may find that the Forum is a better site for your posting or enquiries (we regularly check the Forum).

Montgomery

Sadly, over the years, we have been contacted by a number of time-wasters and unscrupulous individuals who have tried to obtain information from our database, so be warned ! We have built-up a List of these people, so if you're in any doubt at all about anyone offering you information please don't hesitate to check with us first. We may already have the information available FREE, preferably in exchange for being able to share your Family Tree with other bona fide researchers. We gratefully acknowledge the help of many, many co-researchers who have provided information to complement our data.
