Who was there

The camp was attended by Scouts from all around the Kidderminster District and from further afield, Including Denmark Poland, Germany, Brazil

When was it

We built our sub camp leading up to Friday 27th July 2007, the Scouts fropm Denmark and Germany arriving during the morning of the Saturday, The polish contingent arrived after a little delay, just in time for a civic reception lead by the Mayor on saturday evening
Our Scouts arrived on Sunday morning and got stuck in to making freinds. some renewing their freindships struck up at last years camp.

other district groups arrived during monday and tuesday, with a great influx on wednesday morning to celebrate scouting sunrise.

What an event, scouts from all around the world renewing their promise, time zone by time zone, our camps meeting ground bursting at the seams with over 700 scouts and their leaders and helpers. a giant diamond vision screen on the corner of the field to watch the chief scout calling scouts of the world to attend

the rest of the week was filled with activities, hikes and genral scouting fun, including a visit on the friday to the world scout jamboree site at chelmsford, by the time saturday evening came around we all felt like we hade been at camp for more than a week, and the family feel of all the scouts being part of one big team was very evident.

tearful goodby's on sunday and striking the camp site was the last task, all the camp sites falling silent.

a good time had by all and one to remember for a long time
