Map Utility

LBMap displays Longbow 2 terrain height files as a relief map, with a Save to Bitmap facility (See above).
Download v0r3 as an installable package.
Extract and install by running Setup.exe.
Please use Add or Remove Programs to remove any previous version first!
Latest EXE (0r4), just replace previous .exe.

Execution

Updated instructions soon! Either All the .MAP files in the Terrain folder are listed in the Terrain Drop-Down.
Choose the MAP you want to display, its size and suggested dimensions are displayed.
Click Preview to display the map, Click Save Map to save as a bitmap file.
Note the maps are tiled, usually in 256 by 256 byte tiles, for many maps six tiles are placed in each row.
Very large files require a large amount of memory , the program will fail if you have insufficient memory.
Try again with just one or two rows of tiles.
If the maps display incorrectly then the default tile size may be wrong, or the number of tiles.
These can be changed as required and Preview retried.
Header size is 2124 bytes in every map I've tried so far.
Whilst a map is being drawn you can press the Stop button.

DeChunk

Expands .IFF files, creates a folder based on the filename and splits each chunk into a file named as the Chunk Id.
Also writes Chunk Ids, lengths and offsets into a CSV file
