Kendal Jazz Club

NEW INFORMATION: 24 September 2000

Kendal Jazz Club is back, with monthly events held at The Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal. An improved and up to date website will appear soon.

Kendal Jazz Club is run as a non profit making co-operative. Consequently we offer quality events at affordable prices. A wide variety of performers have appeared, from big names such as Alan Barnes, to local musicians. A new project is to establish a Kendal Jazz Club Big Band: the "Generation Band".

Inspired by the work of the late Ronnie Scott, the club started operations in January 1997, situated in a historic market town at the gateway to the beautiful English Lake District. There is good free parking, and the club is surrounded by quality eating houses.

The Jazz Club is held in the Ivy Leaf, at the bottom of the hill.

We have a cut-price bar, together with a smoking section and an air-conditioned smoke-free zone. But - Music is the main attraction - Musicians value the great acoustic and our listening audience. Prices are kept low - we are a non-profit making co-operative, but we offer a Modern / Mainstream programme every Thursday at 8pm featuring local, regional, and national talent.
