Cruse Bereavement Friendship Group - Worthing Branch
WELCOME TO CRUSE BEREAVEMENT FRIENDSHIP GROUP
WORTHING BRANCH
Where does the name 'Cruse' come from?
It is derived from a passage in the Old Testament about a widow's cruse, or jar of oil, which never ran out thus signifying that support would be given as long as it was needed. However, it must be stressed that despite the derivation of the name, Cruse is a non-religious organisation and welcomes people of all beliefs and none.
Hello and welcome. Please note, this is not an official Cruse website and has been placed here to give an opportunity for our local branch members and friends to enjoy some snippets from our activities here in Worthing. Hopefully, it will encourage others to join us. If you wish to comment about the website the e-mail address is

OUR JULY 2004 GARDEN PARTY
Just a few of our members at the July 2004 Garden Party enjoying the sunshine and chat
Gordon Brooks - our Chairperson
Derek enjoys a sunny spot July 2004
Two of our ladies, Joyce and Freda, relaxing

Eileen taking a well earned rest with the paper
Dorothy at the Garden Party July 2004
Three ladies in a huddle whilst Jean, Doris and John listen intently. Glennie chats with Irene and Mike looks worried!
Derek looking pleased with himself!
Looks like Glennie told John not to look while she rummaged in her hadbag!
With Mike talking politics with Bill, Jean is dozing off! And is that a bit of palm reading going on?
A close up of Rosemary, Bill and Mike, Garden Party 2004
Cathy enjoying the afternoon sunshine
Jean and Doris pose for a picture.
Some of the Ladies enjoyed a bit of swimming in the pool.
And some just sat on the side, happily paddling their feet!
Maureen decided cooling her feet was a much better option
A nice close up of Dina chatting happily away
An aerial view of the pool. Well, I was brave enough to climb to the top of the slide!
Gordon took a photo of me at the top of the slide, and what a daft hat I was wearing. But it kept the sun off the bald patch!
Our heartfelt thanks to Ted Stratford for allowing the use of his lovely garden and home
