Some yogis perform the Yajna of worship to Devas alone, while others offer Yajna itself as offering in the fire of Brahman by performing the Yajna (of Self-knowledge). (4.25)

Some offer their hearing and other senses (as sacrifice) in the fires of restraint, others offer sound and other objects of the senses (as sacrifice) in the fires of the senses. (4.26)

Others offer all the functions of the senses, and the functions of Prana (or the five bio impulses) as sacrifice in the fire of the yoga of self-restraint that is kindled by knowledge. (4.27)

Others offer their wealth, their austerity, and their practice of yoga as sacrifice, while the ascetics with strict vows offer their study of scriptures and knowledge as sacrifice. (4.28)

Those who are engaged in yogic practice, reach the breathless state by offering [mentally] inhalation into exhalation and [mentally] exhalation into inhalation as sacrifice . Bh.Gita (4.29)

 The techniques below are only necessary if you have a difficulty to grasp/comprehend/catch the principle of reversion of normal breathing reflex strait away.
In fact 90% of readers do get the picture/understand how mentally suppress normal breathing reflex in 1-2 minutes.
I only advice to look at what you have and to adjust your own breathing. The technique of De-Reflexation is a simple and applied to every breath; inhale and exhale releasing self-awareness from the prison of reflexes and from sweet identity with the body. I have been doing this breathing since 1995 and at present I enjoy the bliss, which comes from every inhale and exhale. This is an automatic process and I do not think about it anymore, but I am doing it all the time unconsciously.

  My bliss is working for me and i do absolutely nothing! I feel healthy, calm, peaceful, content and kind in highest state of awareness.
As soon as you will be able to do Bhagavan kriya, you do NOT need anyone to progress in it. It is yours and it always been yours. In near feature this advice will be explained in schools by teachers or parents… There is nothing to learn, only to be… in blissful state, giving up all bad habits, addictions and false identifications. To be the Light is in your nature.

Take a seat on the chair with your spine strait and make 5-10 deep breaths, fully relaxed, resting your hands on your legs, and relieving any daily tension. Start the next steps with a normal breathing.

  1.   First step is to raise your right hand (up to your face) on inhaling breath and move it back (onto your leg) when exhaling. Repeat this minimum 50 times. By concentrating on the movement of this hand, you will be able to define the moment when the reflex will take over your mental projection (of the movement). Your hand will become lighter and you will start to think about something else. Try to analyse this automatic ignition and concentrate on it. You must come to the correct perception of this individual reflex. After 30-40 movements your perception of the reflex will be clearer. If not, repeat it till you have a conscious and cognisant perception of the automatic reflexive response. Stay with this perception and concentrate on it. You must remember this perception very definitely and categorically. The parallel breathing synchronized with the movement of the hand will go deeply into your memory in very short time!

 2.  Second step is to start moving your left hand in opposite direction to your right hand, harmonically and slow, (so, raise your left hand up on exhaling breath and move it back when inhaling). (50 times.) The purpose of this synchronisation is a development of the perception of reflexes in their interactive motion. When you will start this exercise, still concentrate on the right hand, which will be more difficult at the beginning. But the real trick of this exercise is your spontaneous observation of left hand under complete control of its own reflex. Your concentration on the right hand will release an automatic flow of the reflex in left hand. If you are truly engaged in this, you may see how synchronisation will stabilize and the hands will move at the same length automatically!

 Both hands moving in an opposite directions and your full attention must be focused on your right hand for some time; to make sure you start to feel the power of reflex, automatically engaged in this process. Do this for 10-15 minutes to be prepared fully.

3.   Next, put your right hand down and move only left hand (raise your left hand up on exhaling breath and move it back when inhaling), starting fully concentrate only on your left hand. (50 times to get it right!).Now you can perceive the difference in perception of the reflex in left hand in correlation to your breathing. Your memory of the perception of right hand and a parallel breathing will not help you here and some old people are having a real difficulty to start this exercise. Their reflexive response already formed and it will take some time to start an opposite breathing instead of parallel. Here You will experience the same thing when you started with both hands, at the beginning, the opposite movement of hand and breathing will be disorientated, but soon, very soon, you will get the synchronization and later the sense of neutralization of both reflexes - hand movement and breathing movement.

 4.   Now place your left hand in central position in front of you, moving and touching stomach when hand is down and touching the nose when hand is up. Do it very seriously with a total concentration. (50 or more to be sure you can feel apart the hand and air moving against each other). By placing the left hand in front, both reflexes will start to move in opposite conjunction. This is very difficult to visualize or illustrate. Basically, here you do not need any mental control or projection anymore. The both reflexes still there and automatic neutralisation or DEREFLEXATION (DR) will take place.

  5.   Start to imagine the moving light instead of your left hand (which is still moving before you), and make this light moving up to your nose when hand is up and descend it when hand is going down.

To make both reflexes stronger and to make dereflexation more effective, you will have to enhance the activity of the reflexes. An ultimate goal of dereflexation is to influence a whole body with the effectiveness of DR; by changing the perception of hand to the simulated perception of the light in the hand, the use of hand will become unnecessary. This abstract perception of light is based on the perception of reflex and must stay this way until fully is identified with an abstract light. This mental projection of light is needed only to grow the body-understanding of DR. The body must start to remember what the dereflexation is. Later, the simulation of light's movement will also become superseded.
You will understand that the real air, which you are breathing, is going in an opposite direction to the moving light, which you are imagining, keep it going! Gain a full awareness of what you doing!

6.   Leave your left hand on the top of right one (on your legs) and concentrate on the light and air, moving in opposite directions before you, try to visualise both (air and light) as real as possible.

The body, in relation to the moving light, will recognized the movement of normal breathing reflex as something extremely strong in nature and will react in opposition to the normal breathing (NBR) with the guidance of the projection of moving light inside of NB Reflex. An awareness of the DR will arise from the neutralization of mental projection (mental reflex - MR) and NB. Once the body (Reflexive Complex - RC) did recognise the possibility of releasing the pressure of NBR produced, it will act for that reason alone.
The feeling of relief in DR is nothing to compare too. It is so strong and it is so personal at the same time.

7.   Soon you will be able to notice that your shoulders are not moving and your normal breathing harmonising. The analogy of the soul released into God is simply a shadow of DR expression. Something fundamental, like Self-Illumination is taking place in DR, which must be researched by the professionals and analysed for the benefit of all humanity.

By the neutralisation of the breathing reflex, all reflexes in your body will start to relax more deeply than normally; you will be able to lose any unwanted habits and syndromes. More surprisingly, you will be able to sit in meditation for an unlimited time. An ability to practice this technique will also relax the tension in your mind, leaving it pure with consciousness, full of light and oncoming bliss.

 



Q: I'm sorry to be such a bother but I was wondering how many times a day should one practice Krishna’s Kriya Yoga (Dereflexation).  I know with other techniques the norm is twice a day for 20 minutes at a time.

 

  1. Your attention must be pointed on very important perception of how you understand DR as an idea and how do you picture it. I know for a fact what it is normal to anyone to start DR breathing instantly without doing any exercises. By bringing the external conditions to your study, you making it more difficult. Try to see DR as a whole thing. Eventually you will see how simple it is.
  2. You are asking for the timing of your practice and I will advice anyone to devote all available time to start DR breathing as soon as possible. It may take 2 of 5 minutes if you put all of your attention into it! More you push normal reflex of breathing out of control – more YOU will be in control. Before you completely done, use 24 hours a day.
  3. Remember you will have to make DR invisible after it will become automatic. If you see some difficulties, write to me immediately. But before you stabilized the DR breathing, you will be a bit confused… Try to minimize this period of confusion; think about your normal and DR breathing day and night. Make it your own. It is yours and always was. It is same like a first reading lesson, your mind has to accept letter after letter to make words… In KKY your mind has to start to react to every inhale and exhale instantly… Imagine what you may be breathing (deeply too!) a poisonous gas… - You hate it, you react involuntarily to every inhale… you oppose inhale and you oppose exhale you really want to stay alive.
  4. Do not leave yours DR progress to time, try to get there as soon as possible. Try everything available to you; no matter how insignificant. Do not stop. Actually you have to think about it all the time to create DR reflex stable enough to do it for you 24 hours every day.


Q: Also I was wondering if when one gains proficiency with Dereflexation can they dispense with the arm motions and simply sit with eyes closed while mentally exhaling on the inhale and mentally inhaling on the exhale?

 

  1. After you awaken in your bed for 2-3 days with a direct perception that you mind opposing both inhale and exhale with every breath; you may continue to do that you noticed is beneficial. If something is a distraction you think, let it go and do whatever you like. It is you who is an authority now. I do not have your body… do not expect me to tell you about your reality in your perception. No one can.  Try to simplify to almost nothing how you see KKY; do not make it BIG and important. It is just an utility to live a divine life, like cooking skills or sleeping. It is natural as life itself, let it be…and forget about is same way as a blood circulation. KKY meant to be this way.
