The High Segmentation Acceleration Reader Series seems like a good way to hone some skills but mine are so rusty that I need some other method to get them into some kind of order before or while using the readers. What might they be?
Perhaps I should follow my own frequently given advice that one doesn't really know something until one has articulated it in writing or speech, or preferably, both. So I must immediately admit that I cannot even remember the definitions of many of the terms like ablative absolute, for that matter, I doubt if I could give a convincing definition of ablative.
With this in mind I'll add a DefiNitions section to this document.
This is my silly name for parsing a small piece of text to death. Take a sentence, say Juvenal's 'Sed quis custodiet ipsos custodes?' and analyse it in great and boring detail until everything about its grammar and meaning comes effortlessly.
