Rosie Harris - Team Leader
I have been a midwife for ten years. Prior to this I was a nurse but I always wanted to be a midwife so did my course for this at Warwick where I have been ever since. I have worked in both the community and the hospital environment which I have loved. Currently my role is delivery suite co-ordinator and team leader for the Lavender Team of which I am immensely proud! I have three grown up children of my own and am grandmother to four! Being a midwife is a way of life to me and I am totally committed to ensuring women and their partners receive the care that they would like and need.
When I am not on the Labour Ward or working with the team, I can be found cycling, running or swimming as triathlons are my other passion.

Liz
The
road to Warwick has been long!
over 20
years. And winding!
via London,
Leeds, France, Africa, and one final stopover in Surrey, fulfilling a variety
of roles in midwifery and nursing along the way.
My time is now spent equally in the community, based in Alcester, and the
hospital's delivery suite and postnatal ward. I enjoy the opportunity, and
the privilege, which this role gives to have continued contact with women and
their families from early pregnancy to after the birth.

Michelle
I am a Student Midwife at Coventry University due to qualify in September 2004. Before studying Midwifery I did a degree in Clinical Psychology. Midwifery is the most wonderful profession and I always feel privileged to attend births and to give care to women during pregnancy and in the post-natal period. I have a particular interest in the use of water for pain relief and birth.
I hope to see you at some point during your pregnancy.

Astrid
I’m Astrid and I’ve been a midwife for 16 years. Initially I trained as a general nurse in Bath but decided that midwifery was the job for me, so went on to Brighton to learn my trade. There I met my husband and eventually moved up to the Midlands where I worked for a few Health Authorities before finally settling for South Warwickshire in 1996. I have worked mainly in the community for the last 10 years and currently see all pregnant women from Henley-in-Arden and Tanworth-in-Arden surgeries. It’s a great job and I love getting to know people from early in pregnancy, seeing them all the way through to the birth and watch them grow in confidence afterwards in their new role as parent.
