By Amanda O'Connell - Midwife

When you are approximately 32 weeks pregnant you will receive a written invitation to attend a 3 week course of parent education sessions held in your local area (Alcester Hospital/Henley Surgery).

Alcester sessions are run from 7-9pm on a Monday evening around every 1-2 months, depending on how many women are pregnant in the area at the time.

The there are 3 sessions that cover the following

  1. Labour, Pain relief and complications of labour

  2. Infant feeding

  3. Parenthood and caring for a newborn in the initial weeks

There will also be an opportunity to take a tour around Warwick Hospital Labour Suite.

There is a specialist water birth class run at Warwick hospital if you are interested in using the pool for labour or to give birth.

bulletPlease ask your midwife for details.
