"My Book Of Life"
As you change from babies,
And you thrive and grow,
I will teach you all I can,
Of things you need to know.
Not of history or math,
Or the reading writing rule,
As important as they are,
You will learn them all in school.
The lessons that I give you,
Are teachings of the heart,
Taken from my book of life,
To give you a good start.
Never think yourself above
The tramp who walks the road,
He too has his pride and past,
And carries a heavy load.
Neither put yourself below,
Any king that rules a nation,
You are just as important,
You are a child of Gods creation.
When you give away your love,
I hope that you will learn,
That whatever you give to others,
Will triple as it returns.
No mountain is too high,
No river runs too deep,
You can conquer any obstacle,
If your belief you keep.
Try always to be truthful,
But sprinkle it with thought,
Speak your council wisely,
Use what you are taught.
Be happy my dear children,
On the journey we call life,
May God protect and keep you,
From unhappiness and strife.
