"Holiday Romance"

Searing hot summer night,
Latino eyes meeting mine,
Romance fills the air,
Nothing more divine.

Olive skin warm and soft,
Little boy smile,
Words in broken English,
That slow gentle style.

All night long kisses,
Dance together, so close,
Till the sun rises in the sky,
With orange coloured glow.

Parting then at daybreak,
He leaves me longing for,
Another touch, another kiss,
He leaves me wanting more.

A beautiful holiday romance,
That brought me to my knees,
A goodbye with so many tears,
When it's time for me to leave.

It won't last they told me,
They laughed at our romance,
But we had four wonderful years,
Before we had to end our dance.

I have only happy memories,
And I will never regret,
The romance of a lifetime,
One I will never forget.
