Leopard Geckos will eat a few different foods but they are insectivores so they will mostly eat only live foods, because they do not have much of a sense of smell or sight. |

Crickets |
Like most lizards leopard geckos prefer crickets. They are a good moving prey for the geckos & will fill them up nicely, do not put too many crickets in the vivarium as they can stress your gecko out. To help your gecko health-wise buy some reptile vitamins (dust) and shake on the crickets as they will eat the vitamins with the crickets and they will get stronger bones. The crickets like iceberg letuce, it is good for them as it has lots of vitamins which will be passed on when the gecko eats them. |

Wax Worms |
As a treat you can give leopard geckos wax worms. Wax worms are very juicy & contain lots of fat this is good for breeding because it helps the female make the yolk for her eggs. Wax worms should be fed sparingly as they are very rich in sugars, wax worms are not actually wax or worms they are like a caterpillar that will eventually become a moth if you leave them for too long. Waxworms are addictive, so go sparingly. |

Another treat are meal worms, however these are not recomended as they burrow under the substrate & they do not move alot so it is hard for the gecko to see them. If you leave them for too long they turn into beetles |

Locust are a very special treat for leopard geckos but you should not buy very big locust because they cannot swallow them. You should only feed you leopard gecko a few every week because they are like wax worms, they are only a treat. |
