About the Leopard Gecko


Latin name: Eublepharis Macularius.

Habitat: Afghanistan and dry, sandy areas.

Size: 8-11" for an adult.

Morphs: Leucistic, Albino, Carrot tail, High yellow, Tangerine to name a few.

Appitite: Eats on average every two days on crickets, waxworms, mealworms.

Defence: Tails drops off, bites only when really annoyed.

Temperment: Very good, hardly ever bites, juveniles are jumpy but once tamed down are fine.

Care: ** two stars as they only feeding, fresh water and cleaning every month and even handling.

Equipment: Heat mat, Light bulb, Water dish and hide box, decorations.

Avaliability: Can buy from most pet shops and reptile centres.
