As you have already guessed this web page is about Manor Cottages, Lillingstone Dayrell. I lived at one of the cottages for some years and during my tenancy I started noticing unusual phenomenon of the ghostly nature occurring at frequent intervals. At first I thought that is was just my imagination playing tricks, but one evening while talking with my neighbor I realised that he too had experienced some unusual events as well. Between us we noted and agreed on the following anomalous effects:-

• Sudden icy cold spot's appearing in the cottages independent of season. Details here.
• An overwhelming sense of being watched by some invisible presence. Details here.
• Foot steps walking outside on the gravel road path at the dead of night.
• Muffled voices talking to each other just outside the cottages.
• Luminous balls of light seen in the back garden.
• Feelings of depression and fear for no apparent reason.
• Weird dreams and very disturbed sleep patterns.
• Anomalous electrical power consumption.

The cottages are located at a fairly lonely spot with the nearest building probably located at half a mile distant, with the exception of the disused Church which is literally a stones throw away. There is a geological fault line in the field opposite the cottages and these have been associated with houses that are haunted.

Over the years I have tried in vain to find any information regarding the history of the cottages. The locals don't appear to be very forthcoming and extensive Internet searching had yielded very little new information.
